Relay 1 is an AI-native venture studio based in Austin, TX, founded in 2026 by Eian Kennedy and Amari Chacon. The studio co-founds companies at formation, taking 25 to 35 percent equity in exchange for the full build: product, brand, go-to-market, and automation infrastructure. After launch, the studio stays in the work as paid operators on a portfolio support retainer.

Relay 1 is structured around a single playbook applied across every company in the portfolio: weekly operating reviews, shared hiring rubrics, common GTM motions, unified ops dashboards, and a public commitment to publish a case study for every venture that gets sunset. The studio is not a fund and does not deploy capital. Founders raise their own rounds. The studio contributes the build and the operating cadence.

Current portfolio includes NineLine Roofing (operating), LeioPay (in build), and HomeGenius (in build).
